Fall Study:  “Living the Questions”

 

“Living the Questions” is a DVD based study/conversation that offers a “non literalist” approach to understanding the Bible.  Some of the contributors to this study are well known Theologians such as Marcus Borg, John Dominic Crossan, John Shelby Spong, Dianne Butler Bass and Walter Bruggerman. 

 The intent of the study is to acknowledge that not all Christians have a “literal” approach to understanding the Biblical stories. 

 A comment by Marcus Borg in one of the DVD’s indicates that “many people of faith are not “literalist” in their interpretation of scripture and that a more historical and metaphorical approach to the Gospels and the stories of Jesus and the bible provides a way for “non-literalists” to be Christian.”
